ACTIVITY TABLE ZONE

SWAP & SHARE

Part of zine community ethos involves sharing, trading, and swapping. MZF encourages this by having a swap table set up. Stop by to leave a zine and take a zine in order to share with others.

This is *not* a "free zine" table and and we ask the community to respect this. In order to take a zine, you need to leave one in its place.

Suggested zine value of $1 to $5 only, to help keep things feelin' fair :)

HOW TO GET YOUR ZINE
OUT IN THE WORLD

You've made your zines, and now you want to sell them through a store or distro--but how?  We've gathered some friendly Milwaukee zinesters and sellers to help demystify the process and explain how zine selling works for them (and you)!

Featuring:

Lion's Tooth Bookstore

Woodland Pattern Book Center

WORKSHOP:
SEWN ZINE BINDINGS

Zines can be bound in many ways, from just simple folds, to the classic double-staple! This workshop focuses on hand sewing techniques with needle and thread.

MPL's very own Maria Burke will teach two styles: a traditional pamphlet stitch that's great for half-folded zines, and a stab-binding style that works for stacks of pages including oddball shapes and sizes. Space is limited!

ONGOING

SOCIAL MEDIA

#mfz2022

Throughout Saturday (and beyond) please share your experience, your zines, your own events, links, and anything you learned during MZF using the hashtag #MZF2022 across your social platforms.

We'd love to see what you're up to and help share it with our community!

We hope to see you at MZF 2022!
Thanks for supporting our vendors!
